A word from an architect
The Výhledová Residence project was not a typical development assignment for us — we saw the exceptional location and its challenging conditions as inspiration, not as a limitation. We designed the building to fit in as well as possible with the sloping terrain and surrounding buildings: the main mass of the house rises from the foot of the slope and is complemented by a smaller, separate, three-story terraced house.
A sheltered common courtyard with private terraces and front gardens is created between the two buildings. The configuration of the terrain ensures plenty of privacy, while greenery, climbing plants and green roofs maintain a pleasant microclimate even in the summer months.
Most of the apartments are oriented with a view of the Vltava Valley, Branická Rocks and the surrounding Prague panorama. The main facade facing Výhledová Street is therefore designed as a continuous loggia with deeper cuts that can be fully used — for sitting, dining and as a winter garden. The protruding glass facade with opening elements and textile shading protects these outdoor spaces from external influences and at the same time determines the basic character of the entire building. The exclusivity of the view is thus guaranteed.
The generous terraces on the floor above the parking lot offer privacy and their own greenery, which can be turned into a small garden. Of course, the three family houses also have their own gardens and shaded terraces.
